February 23, 1956
Stephen Edward Hickman, aged 74 of Warren died at LaPorte, Texas, Tuesday. Born in Bradley County in May of 1882, he had lived here most all his life.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Proctor Hickman of LaPorte, two daughters, Mrs. Byron Whitaker of Monroe, La., and Mrs. Earl Davis of LaPorte; four sisters, Mrs. A.F. Trussell, Mrs. Shelby Beasley, and Mrs. Chester Jones, all of Hermitage, and Mrs. Sam Norman of Hot Springs, and a brother, J.A. Hickman of Warren. He was a Methodist.
Funeral services for Mr. Hickman will be conducted at Martin's Chapel Thursday by the Rev. H. Jewell Murry of Camden. Burial will be in the Outlaw Cemetery by Frazer Funeral Home.
