ROSE, Okla. — William Arthur Killgore Jr., 89, of Rose, Oklahoma died on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Washington Regional Hospital, Fayetteville, Ark. He was born on Dec. 23, 1921, in Bristow, Okla., the son of William Arthur Killgore, Sr. and Stella Bruce Killgore.
He moved with his family to Elida, N.M., in 1925, where he later graduated from Elida High School. He was drafted out of Roosevelt County and served as a bombardier in the Army Air Corps, and was stationed at Childress, Texas, where he met Mae Howard. They were married in 1949. They moved to Sallisaw, Okla., in 1952, and to Brownlee, Neb., in 1954, where he was a ranch foreman. In 1962, they moved to Hiwasse, Ark., where he began his career as a farrier in 1963. He was a member and Elder of Hiwasse Christian Church. They moved to Rose, Okla., in 1995 and he retired in 1999.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Chip Killgore; and sisters Lucille Dixon, and Gladys Miller.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mae Killgore, of Rose, Okla.; sons Jiggs Killgore and his wife, Robin, of Crossville, Tenn.; Hank Killgore and his wife, Marian, of Tahlequah, Okla.; brother Ray Killgore of Sallisaw, Okla.; and sisters Dorothy Tomberlin of Overland Park, Kan., and Nola Faye Guerin of Arlington, Texas; four grandsons: Clay, Ben, Nick, and Seth.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark. Visitation will be today, March 7, 2011 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Bella Vista Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Hiwasse, Ark. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Salina Christian Church, P.O. Box 11, Salina, OK 74365.

WEST SILOAM SPRINGS, Okla. — Beulah Mae Killgore, 81, of West Siloam Springs, Okla., died on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at West Siloam Springs, Okla. She was born on July 13, 1930, in Childress, Texas, to Clifford Ray Howard and Beulah Mae Revees Howard.
She married William "Art" Killgore in 1949. She and her husband moved to Sallisaw, Okla, in 1952, and to Brownlee, Neb., in 1954. In 1962, they moved to Hiwasse, Ark. She was a member of Hiwasse Christian Church. They moved to Rose, Okla., in 1995. She was a sales representative for Shaklee Products for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William "Art" Killgore; son, Chip Kingore; two brothers and one sister.
She is survived by two sons, Jiggs Killgore and wife, Robin, of Crossville, Tenn., Hank Killgore and wife, Marian, of Tahlequah, Okla.; three brothers, Dan Howard and wife, Dortha, of Childress, Texas, Milton Howard of Childress, Texas, Ray Howard of Texas; one sister, Fannie Thaten of Childress, Texas; and four grandchildren, Clay, Ben, Nick and Seth Killgore.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Hiwasse, Ark.
