1885 - 1948
Mrs. Robert A Payne of Los Angeles, Calif., and Camden, died in the Camden Hospital Sunday afternoon at 2:30, after a long illness. Mrs. Payne, the former Miss Irene Dunn, was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. C. B. Dunn of Hampton. Surviving are her husband, four sisters, Mrs. Ada Cooper of Arkadelphia, Mrs. A. B. Quarterman of Camden, Mrs. H. T. Furlow and Mrs. M. H. Tobin of Hampton; and a brother, Dewitt Dunn of Magnolia. Funeral services were held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Hampton Methodist Church, by the Rev. Joe W. Hunter and the Rev. C. A. Maule. Burial was in Ricks Cemetery. (Camden News - January 13, 1948)
