Died February 20, 1979, Mountain Home, Baxter County, Arkansas.
Daughter of John Acker Julian & Martha Jane Hamilton Julian.
Married Luther Milton Davis, June 24, 1926, Oxford, Izard County, Arkansas.
White River Current, Calico Rock, Arkansas, March 1, 1979:
Jessie Mae Davis of Mtn. Home, Arkansas was born at Oxford, Arkansas on April 8, 1891. She departed this life in the Leisure Lodge Nursing Home in Mtn. Home on February 20, 1979 at the age of 87 years, 10 months and 12 days.
She was united in marriage to Luther M. Davis of Oxford on June 24, 1906 and to this union ten children were born.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband of the home in Mtn. Home, three sons, Loyd R. Davis of East Wenatchee, Wash., Gene Davis of Mtn. Home, L. M. Davis, Jr. of Milwaukie, Oregon, five daughters; Virtie Hall of Oxford, Eunice Hemelia of Portland, Oregon, Eua Hains of East Wenatchee, Winifred Bray of Mtn. Home; one brother Bill Julian of Salem; one sister Francis Lackey of Little Rock, 21 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends, also daughter Beatrice Weatherford of Portland, Oregon.
Two children preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Funeral services were held on Friday, February 23, 1979 at 2:00 p.m. at the Oxford Church of Christ with Bro. David Crawford of Morrilton and Bro. Don Smith of Mtn. Home officiating. Interment was in the Oxford Cemetery, Oxford, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were Danny Davis, Johnny Bryant, Paul Hall, Vick Hall, Myron McWheater and Carroll Owens.
Arrangements were made under the direction of the Leland Carter Funeral Home.
