BENTONVILLE — Lalah Juanita Dorsey Curran, 86, passed away on Feb. 26, 2012, in Fayetteville, Ark. She was born on March 4, 1925, in Lowell, Ark., to Ephram "Dean" and Lillie Alma Dorsey.

Lalah married Billy Gene Curran on Sept. 5, 1942, and to this union was born four children: Lois Jeanette, Deloris Ann, Billy Raymond and Diana Lynn. Lalah and Billy lived in the Cave Springs area for 69 years. Her life was devoted to being a mother and housewife. After her children were married, she took up painting, and painted many beautiful pictures for her family. She loved flowers and nature. She received and served the Lord Jesus Christ for many years. Her favorite scripture was Psalms 91. We will miss her dearly.

Her parents, one brother and one sister preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 69 years, Billy Gene of the home; three daughters, Jeanette Sizemore and husband Jerry of Bentonville, Ark., Deloris Crawford and husband James of Conway, Ark., Diana Lynn Whorton and husband Mike of Siloam Springs, Ark.; one son, Billy Raymond Curran and wife, Gail of Gentry, Ark.; 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012, at New Hope Assembly of God in Rogers with Pastor James Longmate and Brian Whorton officiating. Burial will be in Douglas Cemetery near Highfill.

CAVE SPRINGS - Billy Gene Curran, 90, of Cave Springs, Ark., passed from this life on Aug. 20, 2014, at Katherine's Place in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born on Aug. 12, 1924, in Burlington, Okla., to Ora and Pauline Curran.

Billy married Lalah Dorsey on Sept. 5, 1942, and to this union was born four children, Lois Jeanette, Deloris Ann, Billy Raymond and Diana Lynn.

Billy owned a farm and raised cattle and chickens in the Cave Springs area for 71 years. His life was devoted to caring for his family; he loved people and loved praying for all his family members, which he did daily. His favorite passage in the Bible was the first chapter of Psalms.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lalah of 70 years; his parents; three brothers, Darrell, Bob and Clyde; and one sister, Gwendynne Miller.

Those left to cherish his memory are his three daughters, Jeanette Sizemore and husband, Jerry, of Bentonville, Ark., Deloris Crawford and husband, James, of Conway, Ark., Dianna Lynn Whorton and husband, Mike, of Siloam Springs, Ark.; one son, Billy Raymond Curran and wife, Gail, of Gentry, Ark.; eight grandchildren, Steve Sizemore, Stephanie Ableitner, Sherri Casto, Michelle Foust, Misty Gatlin, Brent Curran, Christopher Whorton, Brian Whorton; 20 great-grandchildren, Randall Sizemore, Derek Sizemore, Blake Tourvine, Brady Iourvine, Chelsee Ableitner, Corey Hayes, Lee Hayes, Kyle Hayes, Allison Foust, Katelynn Foust, Jake Snitker, Kaden Snitker, Molly Snitker, Tyler Curran, Madelyn Curran, Makayla Whorton, Camryn Whorton, Chase Whorton, Avery Whorton, Trey Whorton; and four great-great-grandchildren, Maddox Sizemore, Tristen Sizemore, Bailey Sizemore and Keegan Sizemore.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Aug. 22, 2014, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at New Hope Assembly of God in Rogers, with Pastor James Longmate officiating. Burial will be at Douglas Cemetery in Highfill, Ark.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers.
