Lester Jefferson Lamons, 83, of Floral died Sunday in his home.
He was a retired sawmill owner and a member of the Hutchinson Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry N. and Martha M. Lamons; his wife, Docia Francis Lamons; five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include a son, Denver Lamons of Concord; two daughters, Marcella King of Sasakwa, Okla., and Verna Lea Clark of Hutchinson; a step daughter, Nola McGough of Hutchinson; a step son Floyd Evans of Hutchinson; a sister, Lizzie Flippo of Pleasant Plains; seven grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
