Bert Collins Jr., 64, of Aurora, Ill., died Monday, Dec 9, 2002 in Aurora, after a brief illness.
Born May 9, 1938, in Fulton, Ky., he was the son of Bert Collins Sr. and Arlene Edwards Collins. He was a member of faith Tabernacle Church in Aurora.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Charlene Collins; a son, Daniel Bert Collins; two daughters, Luana and husband Tim Clements and Angie and husband Mike McGough; five brothers, Charles and wife Martha Collins, Jimmy and wife Kay Collins and Dale Collins, two sisters, Louise and husband Archie Blythe and Lucille and husband Gene Phifer; four grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Barbara Collins; and a granddaughter, Mary Beth McGough.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hutchinson Mountain Church of Christ with John Wilkins officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Willis-Hays Funeral Service.
