Funeral services were held Monday for Mort Jones, 67, well known resident of Prescott who died Saturday in a hospital at Hope. Mr. Jones was a lifetime resident of Prescott, a retired timber dealer and farmer and a Veteran of World War I. He had been ill for several months. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myrtie Rogers Jones, one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Dale of California; and seven sons; M. C. Jones of Delight, Jerry Jones, Charles Jones, and Johnny Jones of Prescott, Donald Jones of Hope and Bobby Jones of Camden. Funeral rites were held at Pleasant Hill Church of Christ in Prescott, followed by burial in the church cemetery. The family wishes to express their gratitude for all the many tokens of kindness given them in their bereavement. (Camden News - March 10, 1964)
