Otis Elcano Rowden son of John Huston Rowden and Fannie Louise (Biddy) Rowden. Mattie (Franks) Rowden daughter of James Franklin Franks and Nancy Eveline (Hargis) Franks. Otis was born in Oxford, Izard County, Arkansas.

Otis E. Rowden Dies at Salem Saturday
Otis E. Rowden, 61, furniture dealer of Salem, died Saturday afternoon following a heart attack. His death occurred as he was being taken to a Batesville hospital.
Mr. Rowden was born at Oxford, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Rowden. He spent the greater part of his life at Oxford. He was married to Miss Mattie Franks who preceded him in death by several years. They were the parents of six children, who survive. He was married to Mrs. Elsie Stroud in 1947.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist Church at Salem, with Rev. Maurice Lanier officiating. Burial was in the Oxford Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Paul of St. Louis and Jack of Salem; four daughters, Mrs. Nova Lee Robins, Wenatchee, Wash., Mrs. Virginia Hale of Oxford, Mrs. Evelyn King and Miss Betty Rowden of Salem; two brothers, John Rowden of Oxford and Thad Rowden of Fayetteville; four sisters, Mrs. Bert Largent, West Plains, Mo., Mrs. Lucy Weathers, Salem; Mrs. Guy Jones, Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Effie Erwin of Drumwright, Okla., and eight grandchildren.
