Charlie Bruce Thomason, 85, of Tinsman, died in a local hospital Thursday at 5 a.m. after a long illness. Mr. Thomason was born on April 25, 1880, and was a lifetime resident of Tinsman. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as clerk and song director for a number of years. Survivors include his widow Mrs. Myrtle Oliver Thomason; four daughters, Mrs. Alis Reddin of Hampton, Mrs. Ross Watson of of Tinsman and Miss Melvie Thomason and Miss Wilma Thomason both of San Antonio, Tex.; one son, Gervas B. Thomason of Haskell, Ark.; one sister, Mrs. Walter Nutt of Hampton; 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Camp Ground Church of Hampton with Rev. Dale Gentry and Rev. William Jones officiating. (The El Dorado Times - August 6, 1965)
