The Baxter Bulletin, Mountain Home, Arkansas, October 20, 1939:
Mrs. Callie "Laura" Jones born November 24, 1858 in Georgia and died October 5, 1939. She married March 23, 1891 to C. F. Jones. Funeral services were held at Oak Grove Church. She came here from Georgia when a small child. She lost her eyesight in 1928. Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Donnie Cooper of Paris, Texas, Mrs. Laura Thorn, Mrs. Lena Jackson and Mrs. Jesse Robertson and a son Johnnie all of Mountain Home.
