BEAGLE, Bess MAYFIELD - {from Central} Died, at her home in Greeley, Colo., March 21, 1912, Mrs. Bess Beagle, nee Mayfield. The body was brought here for burial. Bess was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.P. Mayfield. She was born in 1889 in this community where she lived until her marriage to Lloyd Beagle of Seligman, Mo. Sept. 7, 1910. They went to Colorado to regain her health but nothing could be done. The Lord thought best to call her home. She suffered so much but bore it patiently, never complaining. She joined the M.E. church when only 14 years old and has lived a faithful member. She tried so hard to get well but when she saw that all hopes had vanished she was perfectly willing to go. Bess was not only loved by relatives but by all who knew her. She always had a smile and a good word for all as she had such a gentle disposition. She leaves a husband, father, mother and an aged grandfather, besides a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss. Funeral services were conducted by Revs. Gilmore and I.T. Rice by her request and the body was placed in its last resting place in the Buttram Chapel cemetery. The bereaved family has our deepest sympathy.
