A Funeral Service for Dorothy M. Maxwell of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Gordon Barton officiating.
Dorothy passed away March 24, 2013, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 95. She was born April 11, 1917, in Ridge Farm, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph and Essie Tuggle Hall. She married Kenneth Maxwell and was a homemaker. Dorothy lived in Mountain Home, since moving from Gary, Indiana. She was a member of the East Side Baptist Church and loved flowers and plants. Dorothy enjoyed bowling and feeding the birds. Her best hobby was socializing with her friends.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Arlene Maxwell of Portage, IN, two sons, Kenneth Maxwell of Mountain Home, AR, and Melvin Maxwell of Portage, IN, three grandsons, Steve, Joe, and Doug Maxwell, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Hazel Traglio, and two brothers, Nolan and Dock Hall.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
