Soon afterwards his family moved to Campbell county, Georgia where he lived until the outbreak of the Civil war at which time he enlisted in the Southern army, 35th Ga. On Dec. 27, 1865 he was married to Feriba Elizabeth Humphries. In 1860 they emigrated to Mise county, Texas where he lived until 1888 when he came to Benton county, Arkansas where he resided until death, May 20, 1923. The remains were laid to rest in the Bland cemetery Monday evening. Uncle Henry, as he was commonly called, was a man of many friends and no known enemy. Four of his children live here and were all present at the funeral. He had one daughter in California and one son in Oklahoma who did not get to visit him during his illness. NEELY, Elizabeth - Mrs. Elizabeth Neely, aged 63 years and 6 months, mother of County Treasurer Will Neely, died at her home in La Rue on Sunday evening, December 29th, 1907 at 6:30 o'clock. Her remains were interred in the Bland Graveyard on Monday afternoon, funeral services being conducted by Eld. G.C. Bland. Mrs. Neely has been an invalid for the past two and one-half years and for the last few weeks her death has been daily expected. She has been a member of the Free Will Baptist Church for a number of years and was not only faithful to her church but just as faithful in believing that it was her duty as a christian to do the will of her Master at all times; therefore she was always found ready to lend a helping hand in time of need, both in acts of kindness and in words. To the bereaved husband and eight children who are left behind we extend heartfelt sympathy.
