Drake as absent because he was sick. Muster Roll of Oct.31,1863 shows John B. Drake before the Civil War.Family history passed down this information.Matilda was alienated from her family because of her marriage.Matilda was allowed to see her mother,when she was dying,because of the influence of her brothers.She was disinherited,but again on the death of her father,her brothers gave her a portion of the family money with which she bought a farm near Arkinda, Arkansas.This is where she died.Children born to the marriage are William "Henry" Drake,John "Abraham" Drake, Mary P.A. "Marymelie" Drake, Sherman "Cook" Drake, Cary "Levi" Drake, Arviley Jane "Arvilla" Drake, Ider "Caldonia" Drake, Harriett "Leoma" Drake.
