A memorial service for Bernice Mantle will be at 7PM today at the Buford Church of Christ with Bro. Ralph Eubank officiating. Mrs. Mantle died Monday (July 10, 2000) at Baxter Regional Medical Center. She was 69.
Mrs. Mantle was born April 6, 1931, at Lone Rock to Earvin 'Short' and Nancy Davis White. She married Joseph Mantle on Dec 27, 1973 at Stuttgart. She was a housewife and a member of the Buford Church of Christ.
She is survived by two sons, Eddie Beard of Buford and Terry Beard of Calico Rock; two brothers, Jimmy White of Gassville and Kenny White of Flippin; six sisters, Burnise Queen of Buford, Nelta Becker of Conway, MO, Martha Lee of Buffalo City, Phyllis Ashley of Houston, Texas, Lorene Parker of Buford and Alice Thorn of Little Rock; Three grandchildren two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Burial will be private.
Arrangements are by Baxter County Funeral Home.
