BOX, R.A. - R.A. Box, well known Decatur farmer, died at his home in the Falling Springs community late Sunday evening following a stroke of apoplexy. He was 61 years old. Funeral services were held at the Decatur Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. John Scoggins and Rev. J.A. Smith of Gentry officiating. Burial was made in the Decatur cemetery. The funeral was largely attended. Mr. Box was born in Clark County, Ark. in 1871 but has been a resident of Decatur for many years. Surviving is his aged mother, past eighty years, two daughters, Mrs. J.G. Lester living near St. Louis, Mrs. Delasco Bayless of Texas and by four sons, Dewey, John and Dave Box of Decatur and James Box of Joplin.
