STRAWBERRY — Fred M. Guthrie, 91, of Strawberry died Saturday, July 28, at the White River Medical Center of Batesville. Born at Jesup, he was a retired farmer and a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, Carmen Milligan Guthrie of the home; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel of the Bryan Funeral Home of Hoxie.
Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery near Strawberry.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Carmen E. Guthrie, 93, of Cave City, died April 17, 2009, at Cave City Nursing Home.
Born March 18, 1916, at Strawberry, she was the daughter of James Edward and Iona L. Penn Milligan. She was the postmaster at Strawberry for 20 years and was a member of the Strawberry Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred M. Guthrie, on July 28, 2001, whom she married April 4, 1948; and five siblings, Ethel Durham, Earl Milligan, Elzo Milligan, Fern Sammons and Rubye Mae Sullivan.
Survivors include three nephews, Ronnie Milligan, Bethesda, and David Sammons and John Sammons, both of Lancaster, Calif.; and a niece, Cathy Goodwin, Calamine.
Funeral was Monday at 2 p.m. at the Strawberry Church of Christ with Tommy Boles and Greg Cooper officiating. Burial was in Lancaster Cemetery under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Larry Goodwin, Jim Massey, Ronald Milligan, David King, Nathan Brownderville and Danny Walker.
