Mary Jane Pinkston Services At Oxford

Mary Jane Pinkston was born at Morriston, Ark., on March 4, 1879, the daughter of John and Cumi Andrews Montgomery. She departed this life at the home at Oxford, Ark., on February 8, 1960 at the age of 80 years, 11 months and 4 days.

She was united in marriage to Frank Pinkston at Wiseman, Ark., on December 27, 1899 and to this union seven children were born. She was preceded in death by one son and one daughter.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her companion of the home at Oxford; two daughters, Mrs. Flora Martin of Wenatchee, Wash., and Mrs. Lura Murray of Springfield, Missouri; three sons, Ernest of Phoenix, Ariz., Roy and Palmer both of Wenatchee, Wash.; three brothers, Palmer Montgomery of Chaffie, Mo., Tom Montgomery of Little Rock, Ark., and Clifton Montgomery of Wiseman, Ark.; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Miller of Albuquerque, N. M.; eleven grandchildren; a host of other relatives and many, many friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, February 12 at 2:00 p.m. at the Oxford Methodist Church with Rev. F. J. Light of Mtn. Grove, Missouri officiating. Interment was in the Oxford Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Service of Salem.

Pallbearers were Lecel Combs, Horace Montgomery, J. P. Montgomery, Everett Montgomery, Homer Montgomery and J. C. Montgomery.
