They had four children during their marriage. He died on July 21, 1939, in Sacramento, California, at the age of 67, and was buried in Paron, Arkansas.

*When Sarah Garrison was born in June 1871 in Tennessee, her father, Stephen, was 19, and her mother, Rachel, was 20. She married Joseph Grant Taylor on September 26, 1896, in Saline, Arkansas. They had four children during their marriage. She died in 1953 in Paron, Arkansas, at the age of 82, and was buried there.
