*Obituary
Emily “Shelle” Rochelle Davis, 67, of Yellville, Arkansas, passed away with her loving family by her side on January 9, 2024. She was born on July 27, 1956, in San Diego, California, the daughter of James and Judith (Church) Ryerson.
Shelle had a huge heart with a bigger personality. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and wife. She was a small woman in stature but tougher than nails. She never met an enemy; she made friends with everyone. Her favorite part of the day was sunset. She would sit and watch it every day, taking pictures of it most days and posting online. Growing up, Shelle was very athletic, she enjoyed playing soft ball. She and Hobie golfed together and eventually became Wii golfers. Even in her home, she was competitive. She was known to move the furniture around to get a better strike at the ball. Shelle was a great homemaker and cook. She enjoyed cooking for her family and entertaining. She didn’t use a recipe; meals were made by memory and taste. Shelle received an associate degree in business. She really had a passion for politics. She was an avid campaigner. Most of all, Shelle was a strong believer in the Lord. Her favorite bible verse was Psalm 46:10 – “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth!” Shelle had a saying in life which was the acronym HOPE (Have one priority ETERNITY).
Shelle is preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather Ronald Roach and sister Kimberly. She is survived by her loving husband, Hobie of 32 years. Five children Stephanie (Larry) Hayden, Jesse Davis, Evan (Taylor) Watkins, Trenton (Kayla) Davis and Abigail (Matt) Gerspacher. Also, 11 grandchildren, Samantha, Lauren, Josiah, Jeremiah, Emily, Sunny, Willa, Angus, Lorna, Karlee and Caroline and two great grandchildren Atticus and Maryhart. Shelle is also survived by her 7 siblings, Denise, Liz, Mary, Jaylyn, Danny, Tony and Scott.
