Adoulph "Al" Kitchens age 81, of Maumelle, went to be with the Lord on February 20, 2016. Mr. Kitchens was born
May 23, 1934 in Perry County to Martin Lee Kitchens and Iva
Martindale Kitchens, whose families were settlers of Yell &
Perry Counties.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by fivesiblings; Sescial, Tomy Joe, Erby, Betty
Dean, and Jacqueline.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gwen Neidefer Kitchens; daughter, Shelly Harvill (Ebbie Alan); son, Martin Kitchens (Holly); seven grandchildren, Jason Harvill (Lauren), Christopher Harvill, Brandon
Harvill (Victoria), Kristen Kitchens, Nicholas Kitchens, Breanna Travis (Corey), Katrina Lowe; and great-grandchild, Addy Travis. Also survived by three siblings, Mary Greene, Pat Minyard and Van Kitchens.
He was a member of Central Baptist Church and a Veteran of the U.S Navy serving in the Korean War
aboard the USS Endicott.
He retired from the Little Rock Police Department and Arkansas Department. of Human Services, as an investigator. He coached boy's baseball for many years at Jr. Deputy and Hwy 10 Optimist Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, swimming, baseball, basketball and golf, traveling in his RV with his wonderful wife of 61 years and spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be 2 pm. Thursday February 25, 2016 at Roller Chenal Funeral Home 13801
Chenal Parkway with Rev. Temon Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Little Rock.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Roller Chenal Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pilgrims Rest Cemetery; 1812 Pleasant Run Rd.

Gwendolyn June Neidefer Kitchens, age 81, of Maumelle, went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Adoulph "Al" Kitchens.
Gwen was born March 15, 1936 in Amagon, Jackson County, Arkansas to Everett Lee Neidefer and Audra Rachell Davis Neidefer.
Gwen is survived by her loving children, daughter Shelly Harvill (Ebbie Alan); son Martin Kitchens (Holly); seven grandchildren, Jason Harvill (Lauren), Christopher Harvill, Brandon Harvill (Victoria), Kristen Kitchens, Nicholas Kitchens, Breanna Travis (Corey), Katrina Loe-Graham (Daniel), two great grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.
She is also survived by sister in-laws Pat Minyard, Mary Greene, Betty Kitchens, Jewel Kitchens and Lavern Kitchens; and brother in-laws Van Kitchens and Buddy Greene.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
She had a long career at Sears in Little Rock and retired from Joe T. Robinson Elementary School in Little Rock.
She enjoyed genealogy research, traveling with her wonderful husband in their RV, and spending time with her family.
Gwen last resided at Good Shepherd Retirement Center in Little Rock where she leaves behind many friends.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm, Tuesday April 4, 2017, at Roller Chenal Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm, Wednesday April 5, 2017, at Roller Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway with Pastor David Brown officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Little Rock.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pilgrim Rest Cemetery, 1812 Pleasant Run Rd., Malvern, AR, 72104.
