Mrs. Pearl Golden, 83, of Hamburg, died Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Adams Home south of Hamburg. Mrs. Golden was a native of Drew County and a resident of Hamburg for over 70 years. She was a homemaker and she worked at the Ashley County Ledger for many years having retired in 1982. She was a charter member of Gardner Baptist Church. She loved cooking for family gatherings and she was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Dewey Golden in 2000; her parents, John & Abbie Fairchild Reynolds; a brother, Bart Reynolds and three sisters, Sadie Segars, Dell Oliver and Velma Hill.

She is survived by a daughter, Helen Stagg and husband, George, of Crossett; a son, Ricky Golden and wife, June, of Hamburg; six grandchildren, Bobby Golden of Leland, Mississippi, Billy Golden of Monticello, Jamie Craig of Crossett, Amy Rathbun of Centerton, Jeff Stagg of Crossett and Jennifer Stagg of Little Rock; 10 great-grandchildren, Robby Craig, Roxanne Craig, Colby Griffin, Blake Griffin, Samantha Stagg, Colin Stagg, Cole Wallace, Carson Fothergill, Abby Glenn Golden and Adler Golden.

Funeral services are 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2013 in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Bro. Cliff Bernard officiating. Burial will be in the Hamburg Cemetery. Pallbearers are Bobby Golden, Billy Golden, Blake Griffin, Colby Griffin, Robby Craig and Jeff Stagg. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Baptist Children's Home, PO Box 180, Monticello, AR 71657.
