Joe Samuel Terry, 82, of Johnson passed away Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007, at Springdale Health and Rehab in Springdale. He was born Jan. 21, 1924, in Winslow to the late Ples Garfield and Lula Evelene Davis Terry. He was retired from the Coca-Cola Bottling Co.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Cora Forester Terry of Johnson; a daughter, Joyce Davis and husband Ray of Fayetteville; a brother, Lee Wade Terry of Prairie Grove; and a sister, Velma Johnson of Fayetteville. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Trinda Wood and husband Tim of Springdale and Duane Davis and wife Martha of Fayetteville; and four great-grandchildren, Coleman and Cory Wood, and Raelyn and Denver Davis.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19 at Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville, online at www.beardsfuneralchapel.com. Pastor Paul Payne will officiate.
Interment will follow in Stuckey Cemetery at Johnson.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
