Geneva Wilma Westerman went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 22, 2018, in Hot Springs. She was born on February 26, 1934 in Hot Springs. She is now reunited with her husband and best friend, Glen Westerman, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her son, Randy Glen Westerman; her grandson Jason Teague; her siblings, Reba Bratton, Lealon Bates, and Ella Jane Davis; and her parents, Hattie and Charlie Bates.
She is survived by her daughters Glenda (Johnny) Golden and Teresa Helton; grandchildren Chris (Heather) Meseke, Krystal Helton, Somer Stehling and Chase (Samantha) Helton; great-grandchildren, Layton Teague, Drew Beall, Jessie Teague, Dilyn Wolf, Cayden Meseke, Carsyn Meseke, Eli Loy and Jaycee Loy; and sister Uneda Vanderslice. She also left behind many other beloved family members.
Geneva, known best as “Granny”, loved God and her family more than anything. She and her husband, Glen, pastored and served in ministry most of their married life. Not many things brought her more joy than spending time with her family and singing in church. She spent many years loving babies in the YMCA nursery. She found joy in loving and helping others. You never left her house without a smile and a full belly.
Visitation will be 5:00pm-7:00pm Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.
A Celebration of her life will be held 10:00am Monday, June 25, 2018 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Wiggins officiating. A graveside service will follow at Morning Star Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Golden, Chris Meseke, Chase Helton, Layton Teague, Drew Beall and Jessie Teague.
Honorary Pallbearers include Cindy Large, Arkansas Hospice, Darlena Hatmaker and Regina Speers.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
