September 11, 1886 - November 11, 1972
Mrs. Susie Byars Parker. 86, widow of Jessie Parker and a lifelong resident of Ouachita County, died Saturday night in a local nursing home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Camden. Survivors include one son, Conger Lee Parker of Louisville, KY.; one daughter, Mrs. Hester Rickter of Memphis, Tenn., one sister, Mrs. Lula Ellis of Fordyce, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at Proctor's Chapel with burial in Salem Cemetery near Bearden. (Camden News - November 13, 1972)
