Evelyn A. "Nana" Bowen, 93, of London, died Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Arkansas Hospice in Russellville. The daughter of John and Ethel Carrie Martindale Wells, she was born January 26, 1923 in Steve, Arkansas (Yell County).

She was a graduate of the banking program at Capital City Business College. Her career in banking spanned 40 years, including Vice President of Mortgage Lending with Pulaski Federal Savings and Loan in Little Rock. She was a member of the Arkansas Bankers Association, Arkansas Business and Professional Women's Association and All Saints Episcopal Church in Russellville.

She loved spending time and taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James William Bowen; her parents; 3 brothers, John David Martindale, Jesse Martindale and Bobby Martindale.

She is survived by her daughter, Jimmie Wooding, Fort Smith; grandchildren, Josh Wooding (Dana), North Little Rock, Mary Ann Hoffower (Dan), London; Sister, Mary Roden (August), El Dorado, TX; 4 great grandchildren, Elizabeth Annette Pace, Jacob Scott Pace, Eli McCartney and Mia Sophia Hoffower.

Graveside Service will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, July 18, 2016 at Martindale Cemetery near Maumelle under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Deacon Kaye Staggs will officiate. Internet obituary and on-line guest book are available at
