Bettye Lee Smith, 83, of Rogers , Arkansas , formerly of Fort Smith , died, January 3, 2012 in Bentonville , Arkansas . She was born September 23, 1928 in Fort Smith . She was a retired church secretary for Central Presbyterian Church and Dallas Oaks Presbyterian Church. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Rogers . She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence L. "Squeaky" Smith. She is survived by one daughter, Susan Harp and her husband, Ronny of Rogers, AR; one son, Larry "Smitty" Smith and his wife, Lisa of Fort Smith, AR; as well as five grandchildren, Natalie Ivers and her husband Michael of Centerton, AR; Kristin Harp of Fayetteville, AR, Trevor Harp of Fayetteville, AR, Jessica Smith of Fort Smith, AR, Ryan Smith of Fort Smith, AR. Committal Service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith. Memorial service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, January 5, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Foundation, 1901 South 26th, Rogers, AR 72756.
