FAYETTEVILLE — Alice Mae Davenport, 85, of Fayetteville, died April 13, 2007, at Concordia Care Center in Bella Vista. She was born Oct. 31, 1921, in Fayetteville to William Henry and Elizabeth Gauldin Tackett. She was a bookkeeper for 15 years and was a homemaker and longtime member of Ridgeview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Davenport, in 2004.
Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Harlan of Fairborn, Ohio, and Janet E. Mott of Bella Vista; one sister, Maxine Smith of Fayetteville; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville, online at www.beardsfuneralchapel.com. The Rev. Charlie Brown will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
