FAYETTEVILLE — Lillie Ellen Doss Cartwright, 98, of Fayetteville died Aug. 24, 2002, at Farmington. She was born Jan. 24, 1904, in Sunset to Charlie and Lucinda Osburne Doss. She Was a homemaker and a member of Farmington Family Worship Center and the First United Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Ray Cartwright, and two sons, Jim Williams and Tommy Centers.

Survives include four sons, Bill Skelton of Fayetteville, Kenneth Centers and wife Beverly of Greenland, James Cartwright and wife Linda of Prairie Grove and David Cartwright and wife Vickie of Greenland; five daughters, Violet Pense and husband Lloyd of Winslow, Mary Mosquera and Pansy Burns, both of Fayetteville, Daisy Bruns and husband Carl of Van Buren and Virginia Bayley and husband Lloyd of Farmington; one sister, Audres Starns of Fayetteville; 51 grandchildren; 109 great-grandchildren; 44 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Pentecostal Church in Fayetteville. The Rev. Lloyd Bayley, the Rev. John Hassell and the Rev. Rick Daniel will officiate.

Burial will be in Baptist Ford Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.

Visitation win be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the First United Pentecostal Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Farmington Family Worship Center, 12570 W. Highway 62, P.O. Box 1288, Farmington, 72730 or Friends of Hospice, c/o WRMC, 34 W. Colt Square, Suite 1, Fayetteville, 72703.

Virgil is my Great-Grandfather. Lillie was his second wife, and I always found her to be kind.
