Orlan Price Carter Jr. age 78 of Warren, AR. died Tuesday, April 6 , 2010 the Bradley County Medical Center. He was born March 26, 1932 in Bradley County Arkansas, a son of the late Orlan P. Carter Sr. and Edna N. Wells Carter. He was a Logger, Cattleman, a United States Army Veteran, and a member of Emmaus Baptist Church. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Joyce Crutchfield Carter, whom he married April 14, 1951 and she died October 12th 2003.
Survivors include a son, David Carter, Warren, AR., 2 daughters Sylvia Davis, Little Rock, AR. and Sharon Ederington, Russellville, AR. 1 brother Bill Carter, Springhill, LA. 2 sisters, Anna Grider, Warren, AR. and Kay Scroggins, Eldorado, AR. 4 grandchildren Suzanne Ford, Lee Ann James, Rose Anne Slaughter and Lindsey Ederington. 1 great-grandchild Joshua Ford.
Graveside service was 4pm Thursday, April 8th at Moseley Cemetery with Rev. Phillip Slaughter officiating. Active pallbearers were Tommy Ford, Taylor James, Mike Grider, Todd Scroggins, Stacey Scroggins, Jay Grider, Bill Carter Jr., and Terry Carter. Honorary pallbearers were Gorman Grider, Dr. Kerry Pennington, Joe Armstrong, and Freddie Gullett.
