FORMER PEA RIDGE GIRL DIED AT WICHITA THURSDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Walker Bridges, aged 22, of Wichita, Kans., a former Pea Ridge, Ark., girl, and the wife of Lyle Bridges of Wichita, who died Thursday, May 7th, at their home in that city following the birth of a daughter, were held at 10 o’clock Sunday morning at the Pea Ridge Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. J.L. Shelby, pastor of the Pea Ridge M.E. Church, South.

Music was by the Ricketts quartet of Pea Ridge and the pallbearers were Jack Ricketts, Chester Patterson, Ray Walker, Charles Lee, John Walker and Edwin Harris. Burial was in the Pea Ridge cemetery.

Mrs. Bridges’ husband and two of her sisters and one of her brothers, living in Kansas, made up the funeral party coming to Pea Ridge. A short service was held at Wichita before the funeral party left for Arkansas.

Mrs. Bridges was a daughter of Robert Walker of Pea Ridge and the late Mrs. Robert Walker, who died on Mother’s Day, 1935. She was born at Pea Ridge and lived in that community all her life until her marriage a years ago when she went with her husband to Wichita.

Beside her husband and baby daughter and her father, Mrs. Bridges is survived by two brothers and three sisters. They are Earl Walker of Wichita, Kans. Arthur Walker living in Oregon, Mrs. Lelia Tinkler of Salina, Kans., Mrs. Mabel Willard of Wichita and Wilma Fay Walker of Pea Ridge.
