Marie B. McCraney passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015 in Greenwood.
She was a Fort Smith area resident for nearly sixty years. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church where she volunteered visiting hospitalized church members and working weekly at the Sack Lunch Program for the needy. The last years of her life she lived with her son Cooper and his wife Kathy, and their three children in Greenwood, AR, receiving devoted and loving care.
She is survived by four children: Cooper and wife Kathy McCraney of Greenwood, Germaine and husband Lyndon Morris of Fort Smith, Elaine and husband Johnny Quinn of Woodstock, GA,. and Lorraine and husband Tom Bach of Rogers, AR; eight grandchildren, Angie Evans of Rogers, AR., Mike Morris of Fort Smith, Shelli Thomas of Roswell, GA., Kelli Quinn of Atlanta, GA., J.T. Quinn of Vail, CO. and C.J. McCraney, Brodie McCraney, and Mariko McCraney all of Greenwood, AR; five great grandchildren, Kai Morris, Emma and Mack Thomas, and Cole and Cate Evans.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Ruby Bankston of Amite, Louisiana and her husband Dr. H.C. McCraney.
