Mrs. Shirley V. Fulgham, 74, of Hamburg died Friday, January 30, 2009 at the Golden Living Center in Crossett. Mrs. Fulgham was a native of Damascus, Arkansas and a resident of Hamburg for the past 42 years. She was a homemaker and a mother to many, having had a daycare center in her home for many years. She was a member of the Gardner Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny & Annie Terry Ward.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dewayne Fulgham; three sons, Michael Fulgham of Hamburg; Anthony Fulgham and wife, Lisa, of Little Rock and Terry Fulgham and wife, Lisa, of Hamburg; three brothers, Jerry Ward, Jimmy Ward and Joey Ward all of Collins; three sisters, Patricia Case of Arkansas City; Sue Waldrup of Halley and Linda Maddox of Cominto; six grandchildren, Shawn Fulgham and wife, Leslie, of Hamburg; Alex, Lana and Ross Fulgham all of Little Rock, Chelsea and Miranda Fulgham of Hamburg and two great-grandchildren, Brandon and Morgan Fulgham of Hamburg.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, February 2, 2009 in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. Cliff Bernard officiating. Memorials may be made to Gardner Baptist Church, PO Box 506, Hamburg, AR 71646.
