Betty Ann (Webb) Burdine 83 of Magnolia, AR passed away on May 1, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.
Betty was born January 19, 1933 in Elliott, AR to the late Howard Webb and Sally
(Hux) Price. She was a faithful member of Jehovah Witness of McNeil for 41years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. Nothing meant more to her than her family and religion. There was never a day her husband, children, family, or friends doubted she loved them. Her home was always open to family, friends, and all the children of the neighborhood, and she was loved by all her who knew her. She was often called the "entertainer". She was an avid gardener and cook, and was often contacted by green houses to identify a flower or to have a cutting of her rare flowers. She was the Vice President and secretary of Burdine's Construction from 1969 until 2014.
Betty is preceded in death by her mother Sally Hux Price and step father Jessie Price; father Howard Webb; sibling Ava Allee; and grandson Shane Michael Burdine.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Earl Morris Burdine; sons Denny Burdine and wife Judy of Nash, TX and David Burdine of Magnolia, AR; daughters Brenda Thornton and husband Billy "Corky" of Magnolia, AR and Gigi Baucum and husband Harper of Stamps, AR; grandchildren Sean Wingfield and wife Amber of Magnolia, AR; Chance Thornton and wife Ashley of Magnolia, AR, Chad Turner and wife Anee of Magnolia, AR, Trey Baucum and wife Kayla of Fayetteville, AR, Lori Pharr and husband Lonnie of Malvern, AR, Brooke Prescott and husband Colter of Magnolia, AR, and Jennifer Tyler and husband Joe of Nash, TX; great grandchild Courtney and Hannah Pharr of Malvern, AR, Skiler Wingfield of Magnolia, AR, Abbie Wells of Magnolia, AR, Trenton and Logan Turner of Magnolia, AR, Zoe and Willow Baucum of Fayetteville, AR, Price, Mackson and Emmy Prescott of Magnolia, AR, Jenna and Jillian Tyler of Nash, TX, and Tallulah James Thornton of Magnolia, AR; sister Lowanda Webb of Texas; brother Jimmy Webb and wife Ellen of Hot Springs, AR; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Antioch East Cemetery with Frank Jackson and Ellis Farris officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Jehovah Witness Church in Magnolia.
Pallbearers will be Sean Wingfield, Chad Turner, Trey Baucum, Chance Thornton, Corky Thornton, and Harper Baucum. Honorary pallbearers will be James Bradley, Michael Bradley, Colter Prescott, Lonnie Pharr, and Royce Burdine.
The family would like to thank Dr. Fred Murphy and staff for the many years of care and the outstanding staff at Serenity Hospice for the comfort and care given to Betty.
