Marilyn Dixon, 80, of Magnolia, AR passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020 at the Wentworth Place in Magnolia.
Marilyn was born April 10, 1939 in Columbia County, Arkansas to the late Raiford and Rena (Terral) Gunnels. She was a homemaker and a lifelong and faithful member of the Antioch East Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Bobby Gunnels; sisters Frances Cotton, Billie Mooney, Glenda Hutcheson, and Delois Cheatham. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 59 years Kenneth Dixon of Magnolia; sons Steve Dixon and wife Cindy of Magnolia and Mark Dixon and wife Lisa of Tyler, TX; grandchildren Ashley Talley and husband Daniel of Magnolia, James Dixon and wife Ashton of Magnolia, Robert Dixon of Owasso, OK, Claire Dixon of Coppell, TX, and John Dixon of Tyler, TX; great grandchildren Dixon Talley and Denton Talley; brother Sam Gunnels and wife Margie of Prescott Valley, AZ; sister Barbara Knight and husband Robert of Magnolia; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Antioch East Baptist Church with Bro. Ron Owen officiating. Burial will follow at the Antioch East Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Visitation will be Sunday, February 9 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Neal Frazier, Robert Gunnels, Jimmy Hutcheson, Rick Hutcheson, Joe DeLoach, and Robert Knight.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Antioch East Cemetery Association, 1070 Columbia Rd 295, Magnolia, AR 71753.
