Mrs. Willie Turbeville, 75, of 445 W. Cedar St., died Sunday afternoon in a local hospital following a long illness. Mrs. Turbeville was born in Spinola, Ark., on March 17, 1889 and was the daughter of G. M. and Frances Ann McCoy Alston. Mrs. Turbeville had lived in El Dorado since 1938 and was a former employe of West Brothers Stores. She was a member of the Block and Hardy Church of Christ. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Frank Peoples of Winnsboro, La., Mrs. Chadd L. Durrett of Strong, and Mrs. W. E. Durain of El Dorado; a sister, Mrs. Callie D. Powell of Greenville, Miss.; 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Block and Hardy Church of Christ with Benny Bristow officiating. Burial followed in New London Cemetery under direction of Rumph Mortuary. Pallbearers were Lindel Simpson Goodson, Harry Ware, Eldred Williams, Bill Jenkins and B. J. Turbeville.
