August 8, 1922 - March 31, 2001
Joan Harris, 78, of Fort Smith entered into rest Saturday, March 31, 2001, in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 8, 1922, in Clinton, Okla., the daughter of the late Roy and Bernice Lowe Askew.
Joan was a former employee of the Boston Store, a member of Goddard United Methodist Church.
She was the widow of the late Otis Harris Jr. and preceded in death by one grandson, Jason Selph.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan Selph of Barling; two sons, Ronald Morrison of Fayetteville and Ken Worsley of Fort Smith; one stepson, Otis "Skip" Harris III of Bentonville; eight grandchildren, Misty Barron, Rochelle Cantrell, Ryan and Reece Morrison, Jacob, Caity, Jonathon and Danielle Worsley, and six stepgrandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was in Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Dois Kennedy.
Pallbearers were Leon Selph, Ryan and Reece Morrison and Mark Rowlett. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
