Lolis C. Gibson Jr., 84, of Fort Smith entered into rest Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, in Lavaca. He was born Sept. 27, 1925, in Shreveport, La. He was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church and a Marine veteran of World War II. He was the widower of the late Betty Gibson; and was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Gibson and his grandson, Bret Murry.

Betty Jean Gibson, 82, of Fort Smith died Thursday, June 11, 2009, in Fort Smith. She was born Sept. 15, 1926, in Fort Smith. She was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church, a homemaker, former employee of Mhoon Photography and co-owner of Gibson Studio and Bridal Shop. Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith.
