PENSACOLA, Florida -- Anna Moore Furlong, 90, of Pensacola, Florida, formerly
of Pine Bluff, died April 20, 1998, at Azalea Trace Retirement Community at
Pensacola. She was born August 25, 1907, at Fort Smith, Arkansas, a daughter of
the late Jack Moore and Henrietta Crabtree Moore. She had lived at the retirement community for more than 12 years. She lived at Little Rock and Tulsa before retiring and moving to Pensacola. She participated in church and Boys Club activities in Arkansas and Oklahoma and was a member of First Presbyterian Church at Pensacola.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, George M. Furlong, who died in 1987. Survivors include a son, Rear Adm. George M. Furlong Jr. of Pensacola; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Roselawn Cemetery at Fort Smith. Arrangements are handled by Oak Lawn Funeral Home of Pensacola. Memorials may be made to the local Alzheimer's organization or cancer society.
