Thomas Artis Mobley, 85

WALNUT RIDGE -- Thomas Artis Mobley, 85, of Walnut Ridge died Friday, Aug. 29, at the VA Hospital in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Born in Cave City, he was a retired carpenter and had lived in the Walnut Ridge area for 58 years. He was a veteran of the Army having served during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Lowe Mobley of the home; three daughters, Linda Champ of Fenton, Mo., Diane Green of Cuba, Mo., and Anita Adams of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge, with the Rev. Dale Hughart officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Don Champ, Mike Correa, Larry Adams, Arthur Robins, Ed Tannehill and Alvin C. Robinett.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ruby Louise Mobley, 93, went home to be with Jesus on July 5, 2023. She resided at The Good Samaritan Assisted Living in Mountain Home Arkansas for her last nine years, surrounded by a very loving and caring staff.

Louise was born in Hardy, Arkansas on April 1, 1930 to Shelton & Bessie Estes Lowe.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Tom Mobley; her son, Jerry Robinett; daughter, Kaye Rinaldi; brothers, Hershell and Jay Lowe; sisters, Ruth Robinett and Barbara Huskey.

Louise is survived by her sisters, Jenny Gunsolus of Mountain Home, AR, and Kathy Mann of Texas; brothers, James (Cathy) Lowe of Louisiana, and Bobby (Betty) Davis of Tennessee. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Debbie Robinett; son-in-law, Dennis Rinaldi; grandchildren, Carrie (Ted) Avillanoza, Nolan (Andrea) Robinett, Brandon Rinaldi, and Kayla Rinaldi; great grandchildren, Mia & Ariana Rinaldi; and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank all of the hospice nurses and everyone at The Good Samaritan who went above and beyond and loved Louise like family.

And a very special thank you to her younger sister, Jenny, who faithfully and lovingly watched over Louise for the last 9 years. She was her angel here on earth.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 in the chapel of House-Gregg Funeral Home from 1:00PM-2:00PM.

Funeral services begin immediately following at 2:00PM at House-Gregg Funeral Home with interment at Lawrence Memorial Park under direction of House-Gregg Funeral Homes of Walnut Ridge & Lynn, Arkansas.
