COVEY, Nancy Jane KELLEY - One day following the death of her sister-in-law, Mrs. John Covey, Mrs. J.R. Covey passed away on March 28, 1922 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dona Mitchell, in this city, the result of pneumonia. Jane Kelly was born in Benton County, Arkansas November 18, 1844. She was married to Welk J. Covey July 17, 1864. Six children were born to this union, 3 boys and 3 girls, four survive: Mrs. Dona Mitchell, Mrs. Kate Erwin, Athol, Idaho; Freeman Covey, Leach, Oklahoma and Mrs. Lora Riley, Portland, Oregon. W.L. Covey died October 9, 1900 and March 25, 1904 she was married to his brother, J.R. Covey, who also died., October 16, 1920. The funeral was held at the Christian Church Wednesday a.m. by A.M. Barker and burial followed at Bethel Cemetery. Sympathy is extended the bereaved ones.
