Denise Denton, 50, of Alma, Arkansas unexpectedly went to be with her Heavenly Father December 27, 2020 at her home.
Denise was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on August 1, 1970 to Dan and Marie Bartlett.

She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved with all she had in her. Over the years she took in several kids when they needed a listening ear or a place to lay their head to rest awhile. She and her husband Rodney were foster parents for four plus years and it has been said that “Denise was the best foster mother I ever had.” Denise is survived by her husband of 26 years, Rodney, daughters Michelle Denton (Jon Smith), Chae Ledbetter (Noah), Hailee Denton, and Tara Denton, sons Michael Denton and Blayde Denton, 6 grandchildren, her parents, sister Angila James, brothers Tim Bartlett (Naomi), and Joey Bartlett (Nicole) along with lots of family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday December 30, 2020 at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel 4817 Kelley Hwy in Fort Smith. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Tuesday December 29 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Matthew Paul, Stephen Mull, Jonathan Smith, Blayde Denton, Joey Bartlett, CJ Mull Giza, and Michael Denton.
