Leila Bounds, 97 of Fort Smith passed away Friday, October 8, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was a charter member of Southside Baptist Church and taught the Adult women Sunday School Class, and was a member of RSVP, a retired school teacher for Fairview Elementary School, a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Teachers Sorority, a life member of PTA and the widow of Floyd C. Bounds. She was preceded death by her son, Tommy Bounds, her sisters, Aletha West and Geneva Lowman, and her brothers, Jack and George West.
Funeral service was at 11 a.m. Monday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith.
She is survived by two daughters, a sister, 4 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
