November 2, 1895 - November 13, 1965
Mrs. Elma Fairly McCorvey, 70, died in a Bernice clinic late Friday night. Mrs. McCorvey was born in Junction City, Nov. 2, 1895, the daughter of Hugh John and Cornellia Galbert Fairly. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Junction City. Survivors include one sister, Miss Gladis Fairly; two nieces, Mrs. J. Y. Cameron, and Mrs. Gilbert Huskey, all of Junction City. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church of Junction City with Rev. A. W. Smart and Rev. Louis L. Wilkins officiating. Burial was held in the Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Pratt Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Leon Ray, Ross Isom, Mina Jackson, Floyd Fuller, Charles Wilkinson, D. D. Norris, David Blackman and Dr. L. L. Wainwright. (The El Dorado Times - November 15, 1965)
