Blumer E. Wood, 69, a resident of Junction City died Friday in a local hospital. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Stella Wood, Junction City; four sons, Harry W. Wood, Junction City, Donald Wood, El Dorado, Dale Wood, East Longmeadow, Mass., and R. V. Wood, Bearden; a daughter, Mrs. Pauline Gunner, Junction City; three sisters, Mrs. Maudie Swaniker, Shreveport, La., Mrs. Eugene Cook and Mrs. Lillie Belle Barnes, both of El Dorado; four brothers, Lonnie Wood, El Dorado, M. A. Wood, Smackover, C. M. Wood, Arlington, Tex., and H. O. Wood, Kermin, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Methodist Church in Junction City with the Rev. E. S. Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Junction City under the direction of the Bailey Funeral Home. The body will be at the Bailey Funeral Home in Junction City after 3 p.m. Saturday and will remain there until one hour prior to service time. (The El Dorado Times - February 13, 1971)
