William Tyson Greening, 74 of Camden, AR passed away Monday, December 26, 2011. He was born in Camden on July 15, 1937 to the late Paul and Christine Greening.
Tyson worked nearly 40 years at Ouachita Electric. After retirement he worked with Allied Barton for 3 years as a security guard.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter. In later years he loved “shooting” animals with a camera rather than with a gun and spent as much time as possible enjoying the outdoors, his favorite place to be.
Tyson would help anyone he could, friend or stranger. He considered everyone a friend, and never had a bad word to say about anyone. Throughout his long struggle with cancer, he never wanted to be a burden on anyone, he never fussed or complained. That’s the kind of person he was.
There are good people in this world and he was one of the best. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Greening, James Greening; and one sister, Margaret Beavers.
Survivors include wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Sandra Queen (Eulus); a son, Bill Greening (Patty); two grandsons, Tyler and Austin Greening; brothers, Powell Greening, Billy Ray Greening (Neoma) all of Camden; and one sister, Ruth Headrick (Harry) of Cape Coral, Florida; brother-in-law, George R. Poole, Sr. of Montgomery, AL; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Proctor Funeral Home with burial in Greening Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
