December 30, 1930 - July 29, 2022
Mary Alice Nelson, 91, of El Dorado, AR passed away Friday, July 29, 2022 at her residence.
She was born December 30, 1930 in El Dorado to Jesse Jewel Cottrell and Mattie Ella Cottrell. Before retiring she worked at Dr. Berry L. Moore’s office and the Juvenile Probation Office.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, Maxwell Henry Nelson; a brother, Kermit K. Cottrell and a son Daryl R. Nelson.
Survivors include her son, Greg Nelson (Mary) of El Dorado; her daughter-in-law, Barbara Nelson of Calion; a brother Jamie Cottrell (Eula), five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2022 at Marrable Hill Chapel with Pastor Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00, Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Young’s Funeral Directors.
