Mildred "Polly" Pauline Varnado, age 95, of Norphlet, Arkansas passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022 at Timberlane Health and Rehabilitation. She was born on October 21, 1926 to Cab and Audie Smith Garrett in Hot Springs, AR.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Norphlet and was a homemaker. Polly enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
Polly was preceded in death by parents; husband, Marvin Novell Varnado; son, Terry Novell Varnado; brother, J.W. Garrett; sister, Hazel Fuller; grandson, Victor Novell Varnado; and two great granddaughters, Gabriella and Eva Gonzales.
Survivors are a daughter, Billie Gathright of Strong; grandchildren, Kristi Steelman (Kris), Kila Gonzales (Cesar), Clint Gathright (Mollie); along with great grandchildren, Grant Steelman, Garrett Steelman, Haven Gathright, Greer Gathright, Ellie Larson, Isaac Larson, Maxwell Gonzales, Mia Gonzales, and Luke Gonzales.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 10, 2022 at Young's Chapel with Rev. Amy Machen officiating. Private burial will follow under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm prior to the service.
