Mrs. R.J. Withers applied for a Confederate Widow's Pension (Pension #22346) on August 9, 1915, in Bradley County, Arkansas. Robert J. Withers was the Captain of the Morgan Nelson, a steamboat in the service Major Latmer's Quartermaster Department.
Robert J. Withers and Amelia Finch obtained a marriage license on April 6, 1861, in Orleans Parish, Louisiana.
